Its philosophy focused mainly on the weight loss. The bike also showed the new TSCC (twin swirl combustion chamber) cylinder head, and the DAIS (direct air intake system).
The chassis was a multi-rib extrusion molded aluminum box section piping and cold-cast aluminum alloy components, the MR-ALBOX frame.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Gixxer 750 breaks down the scenes in 1985, making every challenger pale and obsolete to the sporty bikes fan's eyes . First exhibition was in Colonia in 1984, and it is a big strike for Suzuki, a real best seller: 89000 made all over the world, for a
" street legal " replica, a true race bike, hard to drive and for practiced people.
30-35 kgs less than any other bikes in its category means a lot, and the reasons why are the mixed air-oil cooling sistem(SACS), the alloy frame ( first time on production series), magnesium in several parts of engines, that let the weight fall down to 192 kgs full charge. Even if we guess about the 18'' wheels, the flat slide carbus, and the 100 bhps, we are talking about an absolute blending of fascination, adrenaline, discomfort and nastiness: in a single word...a race machine!Reparto corse n. 6http://www.blogger.com/profile/17886943597751458024noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8395195248419504494.post-269857378973498422009-12-09T09:19:00.000-08:002010-01-04T11:56:29.461-08:00The GSX- R 750. A world apart in 1985Etsuo Yokouchi.
Buon 2010 a tutti.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are here to eplore the magnificent world of the GSX-R 750 air-oil cooled Suzuki, one of the most iconic bikes of 80's and 90's, created by the idea of Etsuo Yokouchi, on the mindline of GS 1000 R World Endurance Champion in 1983. A true Racing bike at 360 degrees, with its 178 kilos dry weight, the best result in the category, still on the run at the moment ( if you think about the middle class engines sporty bikes in the stores).
Have a great 2010!!Reparto corse n. 6http://www.blogger.com/profile/17886943597751458024noreply@blogger.com0
